State Police Detectives Asking for Witnesses in Dover Shooting

Delaware State Police are asking for witnesses to a shooting that occurred last night in Dover.

On June 16, 2024, at approximately 11:20 p.m., troopers responded to a shooting on Palmer Road in Dover. When troopers arrived, they found a 36-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound and gave medical aid. The victim was transported to an area hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the thigh. The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was walking on Palmer Road when an unknown suspect shot him from an unknown location.

Delaware State Police Troop 3 Criminal Investigations Unit is continuing its investigation and urges anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or has relevant information to contact Detective M. Keane at (302) 698-8442. Information may also be provided by sending a private Facebook message to the Delaware State Police or contacting Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-847-3333.
