Search Warrants Lead to Three Arrests for Drug Offenses in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Del. — Delaware State Police arrested three Wilmington men last week on drug dealing and related charges after executing two search warrants in the city and are still searching for a fourth suspect.

On Nov. 8, troopers from the Troop 2 Drug Unit and Special Operations Response Team searched homes in the 200 block of North Rodney Street and the 700 block of North Monroe Street as part of an investigation into the distribution of illegal narcotics, police said.

During the Monroe Street search, investigators arrested Tayvon Brown, 30, and found suspected crack cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, and drug packaging materials and a digital scale, according to police. On Rodney Street, detectives arrested Rhasheed Gilliam, 28, and Alexander Wade, 39, and reported seizing about 321 grams of suspected heroin/fentanyl, marijuana, ammunition and materials consistent with a clandestine drug lab. A child was inside the Rodney Street home at the time.

Brown, Gilliam and Wade were taken to Troop 2, charged with multiple felony drug, conspiracy and paraphernalia offenses, and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on secured bonds ranging from $30,200 to $142,200, police said.

Detectives are still looking for alleged co-conspirator Darvin Connor, 44, of Wilmington, who faces several felony charges, including Tier 3 drug and clandestine laboratory counts and endangering the welfare of a child.
