Last week was a crazy week for ranked teams as we saw a lot of rank teams lost.  That made this week’s rankings the toughest all season.  Division 2 saw all 10 spots change and there are many big matches on the schedule this week.

 

Division 1

 

No. 1 Sallies (7-3-1) (LW No 1.)   The Sals lost to two teams in the top 10 in the nation including a 4-2 setback to Constaga (PA).  The Sals travel to Caesar Rodney on Tuesday and host Appoquinimink on Thursday.

 

No. 2 Wilmington Charter (8-1) (LW No. 2)  The Force picked up a pair of wins over Friends and St Andrew’s last week.  The Force hit the road this week as they travel to Newark Charter on Tuesday and Delcastle on Friday

 

No. 3 Delcastle  (10-0-1) (LW No. 4) The Cougars beat St Georges Tech 5-0 last week.  They travel to Middletown on Tuesday and host No.2 Wilmington Charter on Friday.

 

No. 4 Sussex Central  (7-1-2) (LW No. 7)  The Golden Knights had a 2-2 draw against Indian River and a 5-2 win over Milford.  They host Lake Forest on Tuesday and travel to Laurel on Thursday..

 

No. 5  Cape Henlopen (8-2) (LW No. 3) The Vikings went 2-1 last week with wins over Sussex Academy (1-0) and Brandywine (2-1).  They also lost 2-1 to Dover.  They host Indian River on Tuesday and Delmar on Thursday,.

 

No. 6 Appoquinimink (4-3-2) (LW No. 6)   The Jags picked up a win over Mount Pleasant.  They host Odessa on Tuesday and travel to top ranked Sallies on Thursday.

 

No. 7 Milford (8-2) (LW No. 5)  The Bucs picked up a 1-0 win over Delmar before losing 5-2 to Sussex Central.  They travel to Indian River on Thursday.

 

No. 8 St Georges Tech (8-2) (LW No. 8)  The Hawks picked up a split last week with a loss to No.3 Delcastle and a win over Middletown.  They travel to William Penn on Tuesday and to Caravel on Thursday.

 

No. 9 Dover (7-4 (LW Unranked)   The Senators had a pair of wins including a 2-1 win over Cape Henlopen.  They travel to Delmar on Tuesday and Woodbridge on Thursday.

 

No. 10 Caesar Rodney  (6-4) (LW Unranked)   The Riders picked up a pair of wins last week to extend there winning streak to 4.  They host Sallies on Tuesday and travel to Susse Academy on Thursday..

 

Division 2

 

No. 1 Sussex Academy (8-2) (LW No. 3)  The new number one team in Division 2 after a win over Lake Forest.  Another tough week with a home match vs Caesar Rodney on Thursday and travel to Newark Charter on Saturday. 

 

No. 2 Friends  (8-2-1) (LW No. 6)   The Quakers went 2-1 last week including wins over Tatnall and Tower Hill.  They travel to Newark Charter on Thursday and host Caravel on Saturday.

 

No. 3 Saint Mark’s (5-3) (LW No. 6)   The Spartans picked up a 2-0 win over Caravel. They travel to Claymont on Wednesday to face Archmere before hosting Conrad on Thursday. 

 

No. 4 Caravel (6-4) (LW No. 1)  The Bucs tough schedule caught up to them last week as they went 1-2 with a tough loss at Saint Mark’s.  They host St George’s Tech on Thursday before traveling to Friends on Saturday. 

 

No. 5 Indian River (5-2-2) (LW No. 2) The Indiams had a 2-2 draw against Sussex Central last week.  They are at Cape Henlopen on Tuesday before hosting Milford on Thursday.

 

No. 6 Newark Charter   (5-2-3) (LW No. 7)  The Patriots picked up a pair of wins last week including a 2-0 win over Archmere. They play 3 rank teams this week all at home, Wilmington Charter on Tuesday, Friends Thursday, and Sussex Academy on Saturday 

 

No. 7 Conrad   (6-2) (LW No. 8)  The Red Wolves went 2-0 last week with a pair of shut out wins.  They host Concord on Tuesday before traveling to Saint Mark’s on Thursday 

 

No. 8  Delmar (7-3)) (LW No. 9)  The Wildcats defeated Delmarva Christian last week.  This week they play a pair of Division 1 rank teams Dover on Tuesday and Cape Henlopen on Thursday 

 

No. 9 Brandywine  (6-4-1) (LW No. 5)  The Bulldogs went 2-1 last week with wins over Concord and Dickinson and just fell 2-1 to a ranked Cape Henlopen team.  They are at Mount Pleasant on Tuesday and Howard on Thursday 

 

No. 10 Concord (7-3) (LW Unrank)  The Raiders make the top 10 for the first time this season with a win over Glasgow. They are at Conrad on Tuesday before hosting Mckean on Thursday.
