WILMINGTON- The Wilmington Police Department’s monthly Community Resource Fair series will continue on Thursday, May 8, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Helen Chambers Park, located in the 700 block of West 6th Street.
Since its launch in 2022, the WPD Community Resource Fairs have been held every month, offering residents an opportunity to connect with police officers from various divisions and interact with government, nonprofit, and service agencies that support the city’s community. These fairs have become a regular part of the department’s outreach efforts, aimed at strengthening the relationship between law enforcement and Wilmington residents.
The May event will be held outdoors, weather permitting, and will feature food, public safety giveaways, and information about the services available to Wilmington residents. This year’s series continues the tradition of past fairs, which have been hosted at community centers, parks, and churches throughout Wilmington.
These events provide an opportunity for residents to access essential resources and engage directly with their local police department and service organizations, continuing the series of monthly fairs that bring together the community and those who serve it.
