WILMINGTON — Pride Month is in full swing in Wilmington, with a range of events scheduled throughout June to celebrate LGBTQ+ identity, community, and inclusion. From drag shows and musical performances to zoo days and baseball nights, the city is offering something for everyone.
Saturday, June 14 | 4–8 p.m.
Rockwood Park & Museum will come alive with color and community spirit for this free celebration featuring live music, drag performances, and museum tours led by local queens. Headliner Sug Daniels takes the stage in the courtyard from 6–8 p.m., with DJ Raven de la Noir spinning tunes throughout the evening. Advance registration is required.
Saturday, June 14| 8 p.m.
The Queen hosts an all-ages Pride Festival packed with high-energy entertainment, live painting, tarot readings, and a diverse lineup of performers and vendors. DJ Shady Lady emcees the event.
Our Night Out Wilmington PRIDE Party
Thursday, June 19 | 6–9 p.m.
The LGBTQ+ social group Our Night Out brings its monthly happy hour to The Chancery Market for a special Pride edition. Expect colorful outfits, casual networking, and a welcoming crowd. Admission is free. Attendees cover their own food and drinks.
Pride Day at the Brandywine Zoo
Saturday, June 21 | 10 a.m.–3 p.m.
Families are invited to don their rainbow gear for a day of learning and fun at the Brandywine Zoo. Activities include story time, a scavenger hunt, and Pride-themed education for all ages. Admission is $9 for adults.
Friday, June 27| 5 p.m.
Members of the Free Mom Hugs Delaware chapter are encouraging supporters to join them in attending the Wilmington Blue Rocks game to celebrate Pride Month and show visible support for the LGBTQIA+ community. While the group is not officially hosting the event, attendees are invited to sit together in Section H and enjoy a pre-game tailgate.
“Free Mom Hugs works to empower the world to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community,” Danielle Mercante, Free Mom Hugs Delaware leader, wrote in a statement to Delaware LIVE. “Our goal is to change the world simply by showing up.”
The organization has chapters in all 50 states and more than 37,000 volunteers dedicated to promoting love, inclusion, and visibility for LGBTQIA+ individuals and their families.
