The City of Wilmington has extended the property tax payment deadline to Sept. 30, 2025.

Officials said the change will give taxpayers more time to adjust to new assessment information and payment amounts under the reassessment process.

“Customer may experience longer wait times when contacting 311, said J. Brett Taylor, Director of Finance for the City. “We are working through each case as quickly as possible and urge everyone to exercise patience.”

Through the online system, users can monitor property tax, utility, and code enforcement bills, pay online, set up autopay, arrange payment agreements, and request meter inspections.
