Two arrested following string of vehicle break-ins across New Castle County

New Castle County Police have arrested two Wilmington men in connection with a series of vehicle break-ins that took place from May through July across multiple communities.

According to police, the crimes were reported in Christiana Farms Townhomes and Coopers Place in Newark, Mermaid Run Condos in Wilmington, and Forest Glen in Bear. Patrol officers and detectives from the Criminal Investigations Unit identified the suspects as 26-year-old Cedrick Facon and 22-year-old Sadir Black, both of Wilmington.

The case was turned over to the department’s Fugitive Apprehension and Surveillance Team, which worked with the United States Marshals Task Force to locate the suspects.

On Friday, August 22, 2025, the pair were arrested at a motel on Governor Printz Boulevard in Claymont. Detectives with the High-Risk Offenders Team executed a search warrant at the location, recovering a handgun and multiple stolen items that linked the men to the reported break-ins.
