The Piedmont Bulls 12U Major/70 team has been invited to play for the Cal Ripken Major/70 world series. Piedmont is affiliated with the Babe Ruth League which is the equivalent to LIttle League. They also have a World Series like Little League does in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, but they play theirs in Branson, Missouri.

These Bulls have represented Delaware in the Cal Ripken Mid-Atlantic Tournament since the age 9. At age 11 the Piedmont Bulls won the Mid Atlantic Regional which earned them a trip to the Cal Ripken World Series in Ocala, Florida.

Last August Piedmont finished third in the World Series beating Julington Creek from Florida. Since they finished third last season, Cal Ripken has invited them back to compete in the 12U  Major/70 World Series in Branson, Missouri. There will be teams from all over the country as well as international teams from around the world.

All The games are played at BallParks of America  which has five major league replica fields as well as team suites setup like major league clubhouses. Piedmont is set to begin play on August 8th at 11;30am against Visalia, California.  For updates, live scores, and broadcasts follow this link.

Best of luck to the Piedmont Bulls 12U Majors/70 teams as they play for a chance to win the Babe Ruth World Series.
