First Staters have until Oct. 12 to register to vote in the 2024 General Election on Tuesday, November 5.
Along with the presidential vote, there are key races on the ballot for Delaware governor, U.S. congressmen, Wilmington mayor, several state legislature seats, and more.Â

Delawareans must register to vote on or before Saturday, Oct. 12 at 11:59 p.m. in order to vote in the election.Â
Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship, Delaware residency, and having turned 18 years old on or before November 5.
Hereâs the different ways to register:
- Online here.
- Download and print a form from the Department of Elections website here by completing the application, signing the document, and submitting the completed form to the Department of Elections. Completed voter registration applications for new registrants must be received or postmarked by Saturday, Oct. 12 in order to make the voter registration deadline.
- Call the Department of Elections Office in your county to have a voter registration application mailed. Completed voter registration applications for new registrants must be received or postmarked by Saturday, Oct. 12.
- Register in person at a Department of Elections office in Wilmington, Dover, or Georgetown during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Those registering in person need to bring their ID showing their name and current Delaware address.
