WILMINGTON — The HBCU Week Foundation has announced that Juvenile and K. Michelle will headline the 2025 HBCU Concert Series during the 9th annual HBCU Week Wilmington.

The nonprofit organization, dedicated to increasing enrollment and supporting Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), said this year’s concert will be one of the most unforgettable highlights of the week.

Michelle, a proud HBCU graduate, recently transitioned into country music with the release of her new single “Jack Daniel’s” and an upcoming country album. In addition, she joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, expanding her presence in both music and entertainment.

Juvenile, a New Orleans-based rapper, just released deluxe reissues of his classic 400 Degreez album, and a nationwide tour underway; he continues to influence generations of hip-hop fans.

Over the past eight years, HBCU Week has celebrated Black excellence while driving educational impact through boosting college admissions and awarding millions in scholarships. Past concerts have featured Wale (2021), Monica (2023), and Jadakiss, JT, Lady London, and Honey Bxby (2024).

“This experience is all about laying the foundation early for current and future students,” said Ashley Christopher, founder and CEO of HBCU Week Foundation.

“It’s about showing students what HBCU culture is all about. By immersing them in that experience, we help students envision their future in an HBCU long before the college fair or the scholarships come into play.”

Highlights of the week include a VIP reception, a college fair at Chase Fieldhouse, the concert at The Queen Wilmington headlined by Juvenile and K. Michelle, and a closing day party on September 27.
