Week five begins today as many schools enjoy the Easter break.

Top ranked Caravel takes a 7-0 record into Tuesday’s game at Seaford. Then the Bucs face two “out-of-state” programs Saturday.

It will be a full week for No. 2 Sussex Central winners of 6 straight. First a rematch of last year’s semi final as the Golden Knights meet Laurel Monday, followed by a Tuesday game with Nandua, VA, then a home game with Cape before finishing the week Saturday against No. 7 Middletown.

No. 3 Appo has been “red hot” on the season-undefeated at 8-0. The Jags travel to HVT Tuesday, host Mount Pleasant Thursday and Friday hit the road again to take on Concord.

4th ranked DMA has a 3-game winning streak after blanking Smyrna 11-0 last week. The ‘Hawks travel to Sussex County for games with No. 10 Delmar and unranked Sussex Tech this week.

No. 5 RLCA came from 3 runs down to get a 7-3 victory over Milford last Monday, then came from three runs down to get an 11-3 victory over St. Mark’s. Saturday they won a “slugfest” against Sussex Tech 16-15. The Lady Lions have one game on the schedule this week, facing William Penn.

No. 6 Delmarva Christian lost to Appo in their last game and will hope to rebound tomorrow hosting Holly Grove, MD before meeting Dover on Thursday.

No. 7 Middletown has won 6 in a row but will be tested this week with games at Caesar Rodney Tuesday in a game that will be broadcast via live stream on Delaware Live at noon, and Saturday it’s a trip to No. 2 Sussex Central. The aforementioned Riders have entered the top 10 at No. 9 this week for the 1st time this season.

St. Mark’s is at No. 8 this week. The Spartans get a few days off before a meeting Thursday with St. Elizabeth then Saturday a Top-10 game with Appo.

Caesar Rodney makes its first appearance in our top 10, debuting at No. 9. The unbeaten Riders (8-0) host No. 7 Middletown Tuesday. CR finishes the week at Sussex Tech Thursday and Charter of Wilmington Saturday.

After falling out of the Top-10 earlier this season, Delmar returns at No. 10. The Wildcats are 3-3 and edged Newark Charter for the No. 10 ranking thanks to a 3-2 win over the Patriots last week. The ‘Cats take on DMA and Seaford this week.
