Graceyn Frost was one hitter away from a perfect game as Delaware Military Academy (DMA) defeated St Mark’s in a softball matchup Wednesday.
Frost ended the game relinquishing no hits, not walks, and 19 strikeouts. The only blemish was a hit batter that occurred in the 1st inning of the game.
St Mark’s was without all star pitcher Ryleigh Thomas who is having an outstanding Sophomore season as she had an injury that kept her out of the game.
The Spartans, who are a very young team, turned to two freshmen Emma Fauerbach and Morgan Hall on the mound. They were able to hold the No. 5 Seahawks to runs after 5 innings of play.

Angelina Dell’Oso went 3-5 at the plate with 2 runs scored
In the 6th inning DMA would score 8 runs to put the game away. They sent 12 batters to the plate, collected eight hits and had one hit batter.
They were led by leadoff batter Angelina Dell’Oso who went 3-5 at the plate with 2 runs scored.
Gabriella Campbell added two hits and two RBIs with a double. Sara Ann Sobocinski added two hits as well with a run scored.
DMA improves to 12-2 with the victory. Their next game is Monday, May 10, at Red Lion with a start time of 7 p.m.
St Marks drops 10-4 with the loss. They will host Delcastle Saturday, May 8, with a start time of noon.
