WILMINGTON — If the first two nights are any indication, “All Together Now” is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about live music events Wilmington has ever hosted. Audience members raved about the energy and authenticity. With Help!, Revolver, Sgt. Pepper, Abbey Road, and more coming; the best may be yet to come.
The six-night Beatles marathon at Delaware Theatre Company kicked off Sunday to standing ovations and thunderous applause, as The Rock Orchestra (TRO) launched into faithful, full-band recreations of Please Please Me, With the Beatles, A Hard Day’s Night, and Beatles for Sale. With four nights still remaining, there’s still time for fans to experience what’s quickly becoming a bucket-list event for Beatles lovers.
“I’ve seen Beatles tribute bands before, but nothing like this,” said Clay Thomas, a longtime fan from Newark who attended both Sunday and Monday performances. “It’s like hearing the studio albums live for the first time. They nailed it.”
On Monday night, TRO’s lush renditions of the early Beatles songs transported the packed Riverfront audience back to the height of Beatlemania. Audience members were singing along, swaying in their seats, and erupting in applause after each set.
“It’s not just nostalgia—it’s artistry,” added Rebecca Lindsay of Wilmington. “They’re not impersonating The Beatles. They’re recreating the music with so much precision and respect. I got chills during ‘If I Fell.’
🎶 About the Event
“All Together Now” is a six-night live concert series running through Saturday, July 26. The event features The Rock Orchestra performing every song ever released by The Beatles—217 in total—note for note, across themed nights that reflect the band’s evolution from mop-top rockers to psychedelic pioneers and poignant songwriters.
Each concert begins at 8 p.m. at the Delaware Theatre Company on the Wilmington Riverfront.
🎸 Meet The Rock Orchestra
Based in Delaware, The Rock Orchestra is a powerhouse 7-piece band with deep roots in the local arts and education scenes. For “All Together Now,” they’ve expanded their ensemble with:
-
An 8-piece string section
-
A 9-piece horn section
-
Authentic Indian instrumentation for tracks like “Within You Without You”
Known for meticulous attention to detail, TRO’s performances go beyond tribute. They’re faithful recreations—respecting every harmony, guitar tone, studio effect, and vocal nuance from the original recordings.
🎭 The DTC Partnership
“All Together Now” is the latest installment in TRO series of tributes to classical music groups designed to bring innovative live music experiences to its Riverfront venue. The DTC collaboration with TRO allows DTC to pair professional-grade production and technical support with top-tier regional talent.
