So — you might be wondering — how are some of your favorite hometown athletes doing in college or the pros? We’ll be letting you know over the next few weeks as we head toward the end of the college season, and as we get into the NBA season and the back half of the NFL season.

College Football
Debo Williams (Smyrna) (pictured above) had three tackles for the South Carolina Gamecocks as they upset No. 10 Texas A&M 44-20. Debo had a huge tackle as A&M went for it on 4th & 1. Williams met running back Amari Daniels in the gap to tackle him short of the first down for a turnover on downs.Â
Rashon Lamons (Tatnall) helped lead his Susquehanna River Hawks to a 49-34 win, rushing 27 times for 172 yards and three touchdowns. His longest run was 55 yards and came on the game’s first play from scrimmage. Lamons is having an exceptional freshman year for the River Hawks, with more than 1,000 yards rushing and 12 touchdowns. He also has 12 catches for 327 yards and three touchdowns as well as some huge special-teams contributions as well.
 Rashaan Matthews (Howard) helped his Virginia State Trojans defeat Lincoln University 55-0. Matthews completed 6 of his 11 attempts for 67 yards and two touchdowns in the win. He also rushed six times for 38 yards.Â
Wayne Knight (Smyrna) rushed seven times for 68 yards and caught two passes for 41 yards as his James Madison University (JMU) Dukes defeated Southern Miss 32-15.Â
Kody Harris-Miller (Middletown)Â had six tackles with two for a loss and two sacks for Army in a 20-3 victory over Air Force.
College Basketball
Allie Kubek (Sanford) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds for the Maryland Terps in a 74-32 victory over UMBC in their season opener.
Portal
Cameron Edge (Smyrna) has entered the college football transfer portal and decided to leave the University of Maryland. Edge took to social media to announce he has appreciated his time at Maryland, but will be looking at other opportunities.Â
