Tower Hill volleyball celebrates their championship win
FINALS
No. 3 Tower Hill beat No. 5 Saint Mark’s 3-0 (25-20, 25-15, 25-23) in the DIAA Volleyball championship match on Thursday night at the Bob Carpenter Center on the campus of the University of Delaware. It was the fourth straight year the two teams met in the state tournament.
Tower Hill, the youngest team in this year’s semifinals, beat Saint Mark’s for the third straight year. Last year, as the 8th seed, they beat No. 1 Saint Mark’s in the first round. The previous year, they beat them in the finals, and the year before, Saint Mark’s won a second-round match. Tower Hill ends the year with an 18-1 overall record.

No. 5 Saint Mark’s defeated No. 1 Padua 3-0 (25-17, 25-22, 25-23).Ā

ROUND 2
No. 1 Padua defeated No. 16 Cape Henlopen 3-0. The Pandas were led by Kaitlyn Libernstein with 10 Kills and 10 Assists. Avery Pilger added 20 Assists while KaitlynĀ Maus had 15 Digs. Harper Mamele had 10 Kills for Cape. Padua advances to play No. 8 Caravel Wednesday at Glasgow High School at 6 pm.Ā
No. 8 Caravel defeated No. 9 Appoquinimink 3-1. Isabelle Meekins led Caravel with 15 Kills while Katie Greenplate added 10. Lily Logon led the team in assists with 21, while Camryn Burke added 18. Caravel advances to play No. 1 Padua Wednesday at Glasgow High School at 6 pm.Ā
No. 4 Wilmington Charter defeated No. 13 Dover 3-0. Seraphina Pabian led the way for Charter with 19 Kills, while Isabelle Baffone led the way with 32 Assists. Charter advances to play No. 5 Saint Markās Wednesday Nov. 6th at Glasgow High School game time is 8m.Ā
No. 5 Saint Mark’s defeated No. 12 MOT Charter 3-1. Unfortunately no stats were posted for this game.Ā Saint Marks advances to play No. 4 Charter Wednesday Nov. 6th at Glasgow High School game time is 6pm.Ā
No. 2 Ursuline Academy defeated No. 15 Smyrna 3-0. Julliete Cummings led the team in Kills with 12, while Hayley Timmons led the team in Assists with 38. Ursuline advances to play No. 7 DMA Wednesday at Brandywine High School at 6 pm.Ā
No. 7 DMA defeated No. 10 St Georges 3-0. Madelyn McNichols led the team in Kills with 9, while Kiera Benoit led the team in Assists with 16. DMA advances to play No. 2 Ursuline Wednesday at Brandywine High School at 6 pm.
No. 3 Tower Hill defeats No. 14 Delmarva Christian 3-1. MLydia Spencer led the team in Kills with 21, while Parker Lewicki led the team in Assists with 41. Tower Hill advances to play No. 11 Archmere Wednesday at Brandywine High School at 8 pm.
