WILMINGTON – The Delaware Department of Labor’s Office of Construction Enforcement, alongside community and industry partners, will mark National Construction Week from September 15–19, with multiple events aimed at highlighting career opportunities, safety, and education in the construction industry.
Topics will include prevailing wage, contractor rules, worker misclassification, and workplace safety.
Additional events are scheduled throughout the week:

Tuesday, September 16 | 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. – Student Apprenticeship Presentations at Delaware Vo-Tech Schools in Kent and Sussex Counties.

Tuesday, September 16 | 6 – 8 p.m. – Latinos in Construction Workshop at Avenue United Methodist Church in Milford, held in partnership with La Plaza.

Wednesday, September 17 | 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. – Student Apprenticeship Presentations at Delaware Vo-Tech Schools in New Castle County.

Friday, September 19 | 12 – 2 p.m. – Hard Hat & High Heels Workshop at United Electric Supply in New Castle, hosted in partnership with the National Association of Women in Construction.
