Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition to host free multi-cultural wellness fair in Claymont

CLAYMONT — The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition (DBCC), in partnership with the Delaware Division of Public Health and Claymont Community Center, will host a Multi-Cultural Community Wellness Fair this Saturday, June 7, and will offer free health services, education, and family-friendly activities. 

The wellness fair is designed to support the health and well-being of Delaware’s diverse communities through accessible services and culturally inclusive resources. Attendees can receive free health screenings for blood pressure, lead, glucose, dental hygiene, cholesterol, and vision.

“We’re proud to partner with DBCC and DHSS to host this year’s Multi-Cultural Community Wellness Fair. Supporting the health and well-being of our diverse community is a core part of our mission. This event is a meaningful opportunity to celebrate our cultural richness, share valuable resources, and inspire healthier lifestyles,” said Allison C. David, Chief Executive Officer of Claymont Community Center.

The event will also offer assistance with scheduling annual mammograms, early intervention services, and resources for domestic violence support, special needs education, and minority small business owners. Educational sessions will cover topics such as breast health, mental health, substance abuse, diabetes prevention, housing, CPR, and naloxone training.

The fair will also feature vendors, community organizations, children’s face painting, and various prizes and giveaways. It will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Claymont Community Center, 3301 Green St.
