WILMINGTON — The curtain is rising on a new Broadway season in Delaware as The Playhouse on Rodney Square has announced its 2025-2026 Broadway in Wilmington lineup, featuring a dynamic mix of returning hits, new premieres, and special concerts.
Leading the season is the Wilmington premiere of “Mrs. Doubtfire” based on the beloved 1993 film.
Other highlights include Tony Award-winning crowd-pleasers “Kinky Boots,” “Meredith Willson’s The Music Man,” and the return of the acclaimed “The Book of Mormon” in March 2026 — with single tickets for that show to be released later this fall.
“Our entire team is eager to welcome you to Wilmington for a one-of-a-kind Broadway experience,” said Skip Pennella, executive director of The Grand.
The 2025-2026 season also features two special one-night events spotlighting Broadway legends. Mandy Patinkin will perform “JUKEBOX” on October 25, joined by pianist Adam Ben-David. In February, “RENT” stars Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp will reunite on stage for “Celebrating 30 Years of Friendship & Music” — a blend of storytelling, musical favorites, and tributes to their iconic careers.

Guests can enhance their evening with dinner at nearby restaurants like Le Cavalier and Casa Nonna, and take advantage of free on-street parking and the Stage Door Pass program, which promotes local dining options.
