WILMINGTON — The Bridge Art Gallery, which opened its Wilmington location in February earlier this year, continues to expand its programming with the solo exhibition Fiber Secrets by Atlanta-based artist Maurice Evans.

Founded by Cheryl and Christopher Mack, the gallery aims to serve as a platform for diverse artists while fostering connections across Wilmington’s growing arts community.

Fiber Secrets showcases Evans’ distinctive mixed media and textile-inspired compositions, exploring themes of culture, identity, and storytelling. Through bold use of color, texture, and layering, Evans invites viewers to examine the hidden narratives embedded within fabric and form. The exhibition debuted during Wilmington’s ArtLoop event in early April and remains on view at the Bridge Art Gallery.

“The Bridge Art Gallery is more than just an art exhibition space,” said Cheryl Mack. “The Bridge Art Gallery is a gallery place for connection, culture, and community. Wilmington has a long established history as a special place for creative voices, and now those voices have a vibrant new platform to be seen and heard.”

The Fiber Secrets exhibition will be available to view through May 31.

In addition to the ongoing exhibit, the gallery has announced a series of spring and summer programs. The next event, the Bridge Art Exchange, is scheduled for May 10, 2025. Designed as a peer-driven gathering for artists, the event invites participants to present either a recently completed artwork or a work-in-progress. Each artist will have five minutes to discuss materials, techniques, and inspiration, followed by a five-minute Q&A session with attendees.
