A Dover company run by an Air Force veteran and dedicated to cleaning communities has opened its first location in the state capital.
Two Men and a Junk Truck opened in Dover last week, furthering its mission of junk removal.
The company helps with everything from seniors looking to downsize, college students moving out, homeowners decluttering to businesses in need of a cleanup, and everything in between.
It’s a sister brand to the Two Men and a Truck moving company that has diverted over 974 tons of junk away from landfills just last year. That company has 62 franchises in 22 states.

Although the original company did offer junk removal services, Brown said it was important to establish a unique, sister brand.
“We’ve been offering junk removal service for three years as kind of an ancillary service, but moving has been our primary purpose, our primary objective,” he said. “This brand separation allows us to stay connected in all the ways that are important, but to separate the brand and the marketing and our growth effort so that we can put the time and energy behind establishing all of those relationships and that customer base and really accelerating the new brand.”
Brown served in the Air Force for a decade, starting as a supervisor on equipment that supported hundreds of nuclear launch and missile alert facilities.
He then became a pilot and C-17A Aircraft Commander, supervising a team that supported a 120-member squadron and managing their $1.2M travel budget.
Brown earned several flying and military distinctions including two Air Medals for his efforts in Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom.
He’s opening the new junk trunk franchise to provide services like furniture pickup and removal, disaster cleanup, appliance removal and more.
Repurposing junk
One of the group’s core values is environmental stewardship, and it aims to support landfill diversion through recycling, repurposing or donating.
“Just knowing that we’re trying to repurpose everything that we can makes a big deal and makes a big difference for customers,” Brown said.
The moving company has a solid reputation among the community for outstanding customer service that takes good care of people and their goods, Brown said.
“The new brand will be exactly the same,” he said. “Our teams are fully trained, licensed, insured. Our guys come professionally uniformed.”
The company is equipped to handle tree limb removal, trash disposal, debris removal and any other junk removal task.
Pricing for their trash removal is done in 1/8 truck increments up to the full capacity of the truck, charged as a flat rate, but more details were not available on its website.
