Summer 2020 just got a teensy bit more ordinary.

Longwood Gardens will bring back its 30-minute illuminated fountain performances at 9:15 p.m. Friday and Saturday nights, starting this week.

The shows at its Main Fountain Garden across from the conservatory combine moving water sprays, colored lights and music.  The fountains has a schedule of shows featuring showbiz, jazz, rock and classical music.

 

You can find a list of those shows here. This month’s include “To Philly, With Love” on Friday, July 17; “Classic Rock Road Trip” on Saturday, July 18; “Bailando: Latin Rhythms” on July 24; “Solid Gold ’70s” on July 25 and “Night at the Movies II” on July 31.

Patrons bring blankets and chairs and starting at 8 p.m. are allowed to put them down and save a space to watch the show.  Longwood’s beer garden, which offers pub fare and brews from Victory Brewing Co,. is open, as are concessions carts selling water, ice cream and other treats.

The fountain performances are included in admission. For tickets, go longwoodgardens.org.

 

The Garden are located in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, and are open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is by timed admission ticket only.’
Guest must wear masks and observe social distancing guidelines.
