TSD: Delaware’s best take on events, community and local life

We all know the grace and courage our healthcare heroes demonstrate every day and throughout this COVID-19 pandemic.  Now all of us can see just how smooth their moves really are.

In dueling dance-offs, both Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital staff and ChristianaCare are putting on some impressive demonstrations in front of the cameras.

The OR, PACU and Prep and Holding area caregivers at Christiana started things off last week getting their groove on in a pre-shift dance. Choreographed by nurse and “dance mom” Charnelle Little, the team put on two morale-boosting numbers that caught fire on social media.

“We were committed to putting a little fun in our day,” said nurse manager Amy Kohl.

Not to be outdone, staff at Nemours, put on their own impressive version of the Cupid Shuffle after setting up one of Delaware’s COVID-19 alternative adult care sites at the children’s hospital.

The hospital converted the Sports Medicine gym as a back-up site for low-acuity, non-COVID-19 adult patients, which fortunately hasn’t been activated yet.

Meanwhile, the gym is serving as a training space for the organizations staffing the unit, the Delaware National Guard, Nemours, and ChristianaCare, who used the hardwood to have a little fun.

You be the judge as to who has the best moves!
