Roald Dahl’s ‘Matilda’ on Stage at the Delaware Children’s Theatre

Sometimes the littlest kid can change the world. That’s the inspirational theme of Matilda the musical opening at Delaware Children’s Theatre on February 22. The show is based on the 1988 book by British novelist Roald Dahl, (Charlie the Chocolate Factory) who has charmed readers with fascinating tales about children for decades.

Armed with books and brains, the magical Matilda and her friends take on mean Headmistress Agatha Trunchbull. With a cast of colorful characters and lively music, Matilda is a tribute to what kids can achieve if they put their minds to it.

Matilda runs February 22 through March 8 at 2 pm. With two special wine and cheese evening shows on Friday, February 28 and March 6th at 7 pm.  Tickets available at dechildrenstheatre.org.
