TSD: Delaware’s best take on events, community and local life

Runners and walkers enjoyed some terrific weather at the 3rd annual Governor’s Race for Excellence at Glasgow Park on April 21st. Congratulations to 28-year-old Mike O’Brian of Newark who ran a 5:30 pace and came in first place with a time of 17:03:08.

Proceeds from the race will support Jobs for Delaware Graduates and their “Three T” initiative, which provides technology, training, and transportation for student participants in nine middle schools and 23 high schools throughout Delaware.

Jobs for Delaware Graduates launched in 1978 as a collaboration with business, educational land community leaders who developed a program model that reduces dropout rates and puts high school graduates on a path to employment or continued higher education.
