There was some serious partying at Hartford Golf Club Saturday night all in the name of preserving and protecting open space in Southern Chester County.

Hootenanny Hoedown is the annual western-themed throwdown for the Land Conservancy of Southern Chester County that, until this year, was always held outdoors in the fall at The Ruins at the Pennsylvania Hunt Cup Preserve.  But this year event organizers decided to switch things up and infuse the winter special event circuit with some much-needed excitement.

With delicious food, casino games, dancing, a huge silent auction, and the chance to throw friends in jail, the 5th annual Hootenanny Hoedown was as fun as it ever was. “There are so many incredible people who support us year after year,” said fundraiser organizer Kate DuPont. “People come ready to have a great time, and that’s what makes this the best party of the New Year,” she said.
