The sounds of Christmas filled the air on December 9th as the Appoquonimink H.S. Brass Ensemble and the Christina Cultural Arts Center Percussion Ensemble performed for visitors at Glasgow Park. The annual tree lighting celebration of course also featured Santa, who was busy gathering Christmas wish lists from the little ones while elves worked away in the workshop.
The Park looked incredibly festive with hundreds of holiday lights, and visitors enjoyed a spectacular tree-display. The annual Christmas tradition included a music and refreshments, food trucks, a bonfire, make-and-take crafts and a special procession that capped the evening. The New Castle County event expanded this year to include two dozen exhibitors who offered local foods, holiday decorations and other treats.
