Party goers kicked up their cowboy boots at Saturday’s Greenhorn Gala at the Siegle JCC! Introductions to the Western-theme started with a fabulous decorative backdrop where guests could pose for pics with friends. The fun-filled evening evening was a financial success, with 250 paid guests, a bit of gambling and silent auction bidding.
Several area restaurants contributed sips and nibbles for the event, including Harry’s Hospitality Group, Janssen’s Market, Sweet Nel’s and Two Stones Pub. The evening also included music and dancing, Texas Hold ‘Em and Black Jack, a bon fire, and a saloon-style bar.
This was a new fall fundraiser for the JCC, which used to host the Blue Jeans Ball in November to raise funds for JCC scholarships.
“This was a nice change for us but still casual and fun,” said volunteer Stacy Horowitz. “People really seemed to enjoy the Western-themed, festive atmosphere and the saloon feel to the night.”
