Friends of the Mental Health Association in Delaware took in a night of laughter and merriment on October 13th at the non-profit organization’s first comedy show fundraiser.

“Funny Bone – Straight Up Comedy” featured comedians Erik Bransteen, Lauren Chicklo, Paul Goncalves, Andrew Ginsburg, Sheba Mason, Terri Trespicio and Vinnie Vitale and helped raise more than $11,000 for the organization. “Pretty darn good for a first time event, thanks to Lauren and her committee!” said Laurie McArthur, director of Development and communication at MHADE.

The comedy and auction night at the Grand Opera House in Wilmington was the brain child of MHA Board member Lauren Golt and her friend and comedienne Lauren Chicklo who together thought the uplifting program would be a sensational benefit for the mental health advocacy organization.

The Mental Health Association in Delaware provides a wide range of services to enhance the overall health of Delawareans and to combat the stigma of mental illness.
