With an elaborate face design and a spectacularly-designed costume as a character from the “Legend of Zelda,” Jacqui Moulder earned the top prize at Delaware College of Art and Design’s annual Spirit Week Costume Parade competition.
The first-year student, who is studying illustration at DCAD, created and wore a “Skull Kid” costume in the event. “Skull Kid” is a character from the “Legend of Zelda” game Majora’s Mask. She also did her own makeup, using mostly eyeliner to complete the detailed design on her face.
Moulder makes multiple costumes for family and friends every Halloween. This year, she crafted a total of nine. This included an outfit that depicted the dragon “Smaug” from J.R.R. Tolkien’s novel “The Hobbit.”
Kevin Seefried and his son, Hunter Seefried, were among the first to enter the building. A photo of Kevin holding a Confederate battle flag went viral.
