Delaware Theatre Company, the only theatre in the State of Delaware developing new works for Broadway, has announced casting for their season opener, Warren Adler’s “The War of the Roses.” The play will be directed by DTC executive director Bud Martin with previews beginning on September 14th, 2016.
The dark comedy follows married couple Barbara and Jonathan Rose, who go from suburban bliss to a deadly territorial battle. The breakup of their marriage leads to the ugliest divorce imaginable, revealing chaos in unpredictable ways. The War of the Roses was originally published in 1981. The novel was adapted into a film in 1989, starring Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner.

Opening Night is scheduled for September 17, 2016 at 8pm.
