Firefly 2016 concluded with incredible light, smoke and stage displays (even dancers!) for some 100,000 happy and indulgent fans yesterday on its final day at the Woodlands at Dover Downs. With performances from British rock band Mumford & Sons, the iconic Earth Wind & Fire, and the electronic music group Major Lazer, the final day of the festival offered something for everyone. The young concert-goers soaked in every last beat, “jumping” and “bouncing” at the command of Major Lazer and ordering up tacos and mac ‘n cheese from the many food establishments that stayed open until the very end. This year Firefly brought back day tickets, which they abandoned last year, and the acts in the finale were a big draw to first-time festival goers.
