Dressed as Santa Claus, reindeer and even brightly-lit Christmas trees, some 1,300 spirited runners and walkers turned out for the 10th annual Special Olympics Delaware 5k Reindeer Run and Romp in Newark on December 4th. Each year the special holiday 5K takes off at the University of Delaware, drawing college students, young families, and supporters of SODE. This year’s race, which was sponsored by BNY Melon, helped raise more than $53,000 for the organization.
