The inaugural Wine Women & Shoes party was a spectacular hit on Friday night. With pre-event buzz creating an air of excitement, some 400 women poured into Hercules Plaza, eager to enjoy the fashion show, culinary and wine event, which sold out eight days prior. The party included runway fashions by Nicole Miller, which featured community women as models, culinary offerings from top local restaurants, wine specially selected from vineyards in California, charismatic emcees and “Shoe Guys,” a fashion and accessory marketplace, and an abundant Key-to-the-Closet raffle with thousands of dollars of incredible merchandise.

The first-ever ladies-night-out fundraiser for Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children helped raise funds for and awareness of the hospital. “Our committee was fantastic — they worked so hard to create a fabulous evening,” said WW&S Event Chair Sheela Shah. “And it was very moving to see so many women from our community come together to support and embrace the duPont Hospital for Children.”
