Delaware Greenways broke out the brews at the scenic Historic Penn Farm in New Castle on November 1st. The beer pairing event “Brews at the Barn” featured seasonal food prepared by culinary students at William Penn High School and Dogfish Head craft brewed ales. Some 75 people enjoyed a fabulous fall evening in the warmly-lit and newly built barn, which is now booked for weddings and other special events. Some of the tasty treats included pulled pork sliders, sweet potato and chorizo soup, smoked corn risotto, and a rocky road brownie parfait. Delaware Greenways protects scenic byways in the Brandywine Valley and encourages the use of trails, parks, and of course, Penn Farm.
