TSD: Delaware’s best take on events, community and local life

Screen shot 2015-06-15 at 11.45.57 AMTSD readers will know that infrastructure and transportation planning are of particular interest to this site.  There are few corridors more critical to northern Delaware than the stretch of 141 that runs from I-95 to the Concord Pike/202.  Please see below for information about an important public meeting on the 141 corridor Thursday night.

Local leaders are calling those interested in the the future of the Route 141 corridor between State Road 2 and U.S. 202 to join them in a public meeting Thursday at the A.I. du Pont High School cafeteria.

The New Castle County Department of Land Use, DelDOT and the Wilmington Area Planning Council are launching a planning study about future land use and transportation in that corridor. The study will become a guide for policy decisions surrounding that area for the next 20 years.

The June 17 public information session is from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., with presentations at 5:45, 6:45 and 7:45 p.m. The school’s address is 50 Hillside Road in Wilmington.
