The Holy Trinity Greek Festival marked their 40th anniversary in some very memorable ways in 2015. The five-day festival, which includes indisputably the best home-made food of any spring festival in Wilmington, was punctuated this year by a string of bad weather and of course the multi-day services for former Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden. In fact, Greek Festival organizers postponed the opening of Saturday’s festival — the final day — until after the conclusion of the Biden funeral services just down the road at St. Anthony’s parish. The Greek Festival is so good, though, that Wilmingtonians were happy to oblige the delay, later turning out by the hundreds to sample Pastichio, Moussaka, Gyros and more.
