Colorful dragon boats made their debut last weekend on the Christina River near Tubman-Garrett Riverfront Park, where about a dozen teams of 20 competed in the first Racing on the Riverfront Dragon Boat Festival. The event benefited the Delaware Children’s Museum, and it featured a Kid Zone tent so that families enjoyed time at the park, the races and the eventual sunshine that the afternoon brought.
