The Christmas Shop Foundation’s charitable gift show, “The Perfect Gift,” kicked off in great style at Monday’s Opening Night party at DuPont Country Club. Organizers took a year off from the annual event last year, which seemed to have the benefit of generating greater interest in the 3-day show this year. Well over 200 shoppers purchased Opening Night tickets this year, and several exhibitor spaces were buzzing with activity. And Tuesday’s special events, a “Top of the Shop” luncheon (with many first-time shoppers in attendance) and a Disney-themed “Tea on Tuesday,” sold out! This year’s show boasts 48 exhibitors with a range of price points and lots of variety, including men’s and women’s apparel, home decor, costume and fine jewelry, toys and hostess gifts. Twenty percent of each purchase plus the $5 admission fee will be donated to a number of Delaware charities and non-profits.
