The Land Conservancy for Southern Chester County celebrated the Dog Days of Summer last week at Stateline Woods Preserve.  Canines and their owners explored the trails, paraded in a costume contest (Phalcor decked out in his Phillies garb took home the blue ribbon), and enjoyed home-baked treats from GiggyBites and squeaky tennis balls from Concord Pets. Owners cooled off with fresh ice cream courtesy of Punk’d Pineapple, and various dog organizations were on hand to offer canine advice: Paws for People, Positive Results Dog Training, and Animal Communications with Mary Long. The event was sponsored by In Home Veterinary Care—a mobile vet clinic.
