TSD: Delaware’s best take on events, community and local life
dsc_0069Donna Swajeski, Emmy-winning screenwriter and NYC resident, returns to the Delaware Children’s Theatre (DCT) with her latest production, “Wake Me When I’m 16 – The Story of Sleeping Beauty.” The classic fairy tale gets a contemporary twist, as main character Aurora deals with the challenges of being a teenager as she and her friends celebrate at her Sweet 16 party.

The daughter of DCT founder Marie Swajeski, Donna previously developed an original version of “Snow White,” which premiered at DCT and has since been picked up by Dramatic Publishing for national performances. Donna has pledged to develop and direct an original musical each year at DCT, giving local talent a chance to develop, premier and bring to life a new work right here in the First State!
