TSD: Delaware’s best take on events, community and local life

UnknownTreat yourself to a night out with the Delaware Symphony Orchestra as they prime the pump for a wonderful, celebratory New Year’s Eve.  Their show features great music by the Strauss family and several special guests.  Two wonderful singers from the Academy of Vocal Arts:Marina Costa Jackson, and Dominick Chenes will sing Viennese classics like Vienna City of my Dreams and Vilja Lied. The DSO also will be joined by two outstanding dancers from First State Ballet Theatre, Emily Shenaut and Alex Buckner, to show us what we’re really supposed to do during a waltz!   And, of course, there are lots of other surprises.

Intermission will be overflowing with bubbly, fun antics and good cheer.  And you can still be at your midnight party with plenty of time to spare.  Show starts at 7:30— you’ll be out by 10 at the latest.  And if you really book it, you can be in NYC for the ball drop.

Tickets are $85 per person. Visit the DSO website for information.
