TSD: Delaware’s best take on events, community and local life

elizabeckhamddrpicsmallJoin the Friends of Eliza O’Neill on Thur., Dec. 19th at the Chase Center on the Riverfront for a memorable and fun-filled evening while supporting a great cause. The Evening for Eliza will be a holiday party which includes food and drinks, DJ and live band (Pulp Groove), silent auction and charity casino, dancing, raffle prizes and fun!

Eliza is a 4 year old girl afflicted with SanFilippo Syndrome,  a rare genetic terminal disease, which will quickly steal her childhood and her life.  Life expectancy is early teens.  The syndrome is degenerative and often children are brain damaged by age 6, lose speech, and decline further from there.  There are no treatments and no cure….BUT….a gene therapy clinical trial is coming at the end of 2014, if funding is supplied.
