Supporters of Wilmington’s West End Neighborhood House gathered at the home of Phil and Daphne Reese last month to celebrate many of the personal achievements of several program participants. Carla Markell, wife of Delaware Governor Jack Markell, and Paul F. Calistro, Jr., executive director of WENH, spoke to guests about the many ways the non-profit helps families and individuals achieve independence and self sufficiency.

WENH serves as an anchor for the Wilmington community, focusing on GED preparation and academic classes, employment training and placement, financial literacy and management, low-interest loan products, affordable child care and housing and community revitalization throughout Wilmington.
