In its 51st year, the Citizens Bank Caesar Rodney Half Marathon marks the unofficial start to the Delaware running season. The race , benefitting the American Lung Assn of Delaware, attracts nearly 2,000 runners, and features a hilly course that winds through the scenic Riverfront area, as well as many residential sections of the City of Wilmington. A tradition for many Mid-Atlantic runners, this race is often used as a training run for many of the spring’s prestigious marathons. And for those not quite ready for a half-marathon, we also have a runner and walker-friendly 5K option. All races begin at Wilmington’s historic Rodney Square. 5K start: 8:15 am.
