Located on the shores of Chipmans Pond, Old Christ Church was built in 1771 and has never been plumbed, electrified or painted. However, the acoustics in the wood construction church are wonderful. Cellist Jeffrey Schoyen and his wife violinist Sachiho Murasugi will present a concert at Old Christ Church, Laurel, on Saturday, 10/5 at 4 p.m. Dr. Schoyen and Dr. Murasugi are Salisbury University faculty members who perform widely as orchestral and chamber musicians. This concert is free and open to the public. Donations will be used for the preservation and restoration of Old Christ Church. Old Christ Church Laurel has no heating, so please dress warmly and bring a blanket. Enjoy the season’s finest classical music performed in this lovely historic building!
