Travelers along Rte. 141 South by the 52/Kennett Pike interchange have gotten used to seeing a curious landmark over the last several weeks. For reasons unclear, a big green port-a-potty (is it port-O-potty?, port-a-john? take your pick) has sprung up from the earth, sitting precariously close to the highway, heralding drivers as they pass, perhaps offering a last minute reprieve before they advance into the traffic that awaits at Lancaster Pike and further down 141 towards I-95. With no obvious construction work underway nearby, we wonder if 19807 residents are getting some kind of special DelDOT attention … or perhaps it is a thought-provoking contemporary art exhibit.
