More than 800 runners, walkers and Girl Scouts took a pledge to finish the Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay‘s third annual Thin Mint 5K run/walk on Sunday. Senator Coons did the honors at the start of the race and with sunny skies and the best swag this experienced 5k’er has seen – a box of Thin Mints (naturally!) for each participant! – Sunday’s event was a great day for Scouts and spectators alike! Also worth noting? The winner was Katie Dougherty, who beat out the boys for the top spot with a time of 18:01. Go girls go!
