TSD: Delaware’s best take on events, community and local life

World Cafe Live At the QueenFriday, April 19th at 5 pm   ~

It’s the evening of April 19, 1959 and Vincent Price is on the big screen as the horror film “House on Haunted Hill” premieres in a movie house on 5th and Market, the historic Queen Theatre. Little did the audience know this would be the last film the theater would ever show before its doors were shut for fifty two years.

On April 19th, 2013, we at World Cafe Live at the Queen are once again screening the classic motion picture in our very own Copeland Theater. We invite you to join us for a night of fancy cocktails, free popcorn and historic magic while supporting a good cause; the evening’s proceeds will benefit the Light Up the Queen Foundation and the Delaware Historical Society.

To kick it up a notch, we’re also hosting a pre-event 1950’s themed cocktail party during happy hour complete with red carpet, candelabras, live jazz, prizes for best vintage attire, a late night dance party and more! We hope you’ll join us for the fun! Suggested Ticket Donation: $19.59.
