One lunch break is all it will take to celebrate Earth Day in Rodney Square on April 22. Visitors will be welcomed with giveaways, while supplies last; free native plants and tree seedlings; exciting, free raffle items; and fun kids activities. They can also look over hybrid, or fuel-efficient, automobiles and visit about 40 vendors offering green products, services, and advice. Those who bring their lunch can even take part in Picnic for Earth, a celebration of sustainable food brought to you by The Nature Conservancy’s Delaware chapter. This rain-or-shine festival is sponsored by the City of Wilmington, DelDOT, and the Partnership for the Delaware Estuary. Discover more at DelawareEstuary.org, or call (800) 445-4935, extension 106.
