Cindy Wilkinson treated friends to a sneak peek party at her new art gallery on Wilmington’s Riverfront Wednesday night. COCA, Cheap Original Cool Art, features artwork from local artists, students in the Young at Art program, as well as works picked up on travels around the world. All of it is for sale for under $500. COCA will open to the public 10 times per year, including May’s Art Loop, and in the sumer by appointment. On the occasions that COCA is open, Cindy plans to identify a charitable beneficiary and will donate 20% of sales to that non-profit.
“One of my favorite things to do when I travel is to spend time browsing local galleries and getting a flavor for the types of art that are popular in that region,” said Cindy. “I hope that through COCA I am able to share the inspiration and fondness I have for art with home owners, apartment dwellers and businesses. With our cheap, really cool art, there’s no excuse for a blank wall in your home!”
